SEWING CLASSES

Our sewing classes are divided into two levels - a beginner one for those of you who have never made a garment before, and a level 2 for those who want to perfect their skills.

We have some wonderful teachers doing these classes!  Coleen has been with Johnson's for several years. She is a former home-economics teacher, and is a practical teacher well-grounded in knowledge and experience. Coleen does the sewing classes at the south store!

Linda P. (we have three Linda's at Johnson's!) is also a diverse and well-rounded teacher! Linda teaches the Beginer Sewing Level I and II classes at the north store! Her background in sewing stems from extensive training at NAIT, and it shows in the quality of work she does!

Corinne, one of our newest teachers, will be doing a great class this winter called "Sugar & Spice, Desigining & Making Little Girl's Dresses".Corinne has a passion for mentoring anyone interested in sewing or pattern drafting. She has done theatre costuming at the Citadel and drafted patterns for the home sewing market. A couple of her favorite enterprises were historical costuming and mascot design. In her classes she freely passes on technical knowledge and encourages personal creativity.  Her teaching motto is "It is truly easy. So let's have some fun!"
